Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Utah
a year ago i purchased a home in roy ut. when we bought the home we were sold the property as is with .23 acre. the area is fenced and the photos show a large yard. I have maintained the entire fenced area for a year. the land around mine was purchased and now is being developed. they have staked out property lines according to the land plot map from the county. the stakes are in the correct place, I also checked them myself. according to the map i am loosing roughly half of my back yard. this is not what we thought we were purchasing when buying this home. is there anything I can do to keep what I thought i was buying? or am i just out of luck.

If the stakes are in the correct position you have no recourse. Just because you thought your yard was bigger and maintained a larger area does not give you title.
