Re: minor marriage

His risk is not sexual harassment but statutory rape. However, if you get the permission of your parent or guardian, you can legally marry at age 16.

Let me give you some WISE counsel. I raised 7 kids, plus 3 foster children. All of them are adults and married. Each of them has told me that they married too young, and would not marry that young again - and none of them married until they were 20 or older. You are very young and need more experience and maturation before you make a committment like marriage. Please obtain and listen to a competent counselor before you make this decision. I can promise you that you will never regret NOT getting married so early. You may regret for the rest of your life that you did marry so early.

If your boyfriend truly loves you, he will be supportive of you getting pre-marital counseling and will even join with you in such counseling. I am sure you know that about 80% of teen age marriages end in divorce. That is a big risk. You would not cross a highway if you only had a 20% chance of survival...... Think about it.
