Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Utah

I was terminated for sexual harassment after joking w/a friend...

I was off the clock, she was on the clock. We were joking and customers heard it and complained to the owner. The owner went and asked her if this was said, and she said ''yes'' - I don't even think she knew she got me fired. I've been working there for almost a year, they call me in and let me go. I have no history of sexual harassment at the workplace. Do they have the right to let me go? Is there anything I can do to either get my job back or sue for damages?

You can attempt to get your job back if the act was not sexual harassment. Check with the employer and see if there is a review process. Usually a person is given a warning. However, Utah allows an employer to fire without cause, and your remedy is to seek unemployment compensation
