Legal Question in Traffic Law in Utah
I just received my second speeding ticket in a 3 month period. Both tickets were for only 5 over. Will they revoke my license? I am under the age of 21, and there was no DUI or DWI involved. Both tickets were in the state of Utah.

It depends on how many points have been accumulated on your driving record. If you are in jeopardy of losing your license, you will probably be contacted by DMV to go in and meet with a hearing officer to discuss what action may be taken. In addition, instead of just paying the ticket, I would recommend you go to court and talk to the prosecuting attorney to see if he would be willing to allow you to enter into a plea in abeyance which would result in the matter being dismissed provided you complete a probationary period with no further tickets. Also, you should explore with the court and/or prosecutor the possibility of attending traffic school which can remove points from your record and prevent the ticket from going on your insurance.
