Retroactive Pay VA beneflits

I heard that if you can prove you had a compencible illness at a time prior to your filing date you can get retro pay back to that time. True or False?

In the majority of cases, the answer is no. Your effective date is the date the VA received your claim. There are very few exceptions to this rule. If you have any more specific questions, feel free to email me.
