Can beneficiaries of an estate request a trustee to removed. If so, what action is needed?

It depends on the terms of the trust document. Generally a trustee can only be removed for cause, meaning that the trustee has not properly fulfilled the terms of the trust or has done something illegal. A review of the trust and specific facts is necessary to make the determination of how possible it is to remove the trustee.
