Beneficiary and trustor

My wife is the sole successor beneficiary to a trust set up by her mother who was the beneficiary and trustor. Does that make my wife the trustor?

Not necessarily. The trust document should designate a successor trustee. If it does not, depending on state law, you will probably need to petition the court to appoint a successor trustee to distribute the assets. If you need assistance, call me.
