Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Utah

My brother-in-law committed suicide and left no will. There are a few things that are currently being fought over and I wondered if the possessions go to

kids (2 daughters age 10 and 8)

ex wife

Mother of victim

Brothers of victim

or a mixture of them all.

The items include; sound equipment, guitars (4) and a laptop computer.

Daughters will go to their mother, unless she is unfit.

Ex wife has no rights and gets nothing.

State law will distribute his assets to his children (because they are minors any cash is held in trust for them. Someone will be appointed their trustee.)

Brother probably does not get anything, all will go to daughters.
