Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Utah

My dad died and left me and my siblings money. He didn't want any one to be able to use the money or us to receive any money until we are at the age of 30 yrs old. I think my grandmother took some money out for her self and used it. Would we be able to get that money back, and if not what can we do?

You can demand an accounting from the person that holds the money for you. That person is a trustee, and has a duty to keep and invest the money for you and your siblings. If the trustee used money for his or her self, that is a violation of their duties, and it is also a crime. In such case the trustee must return the money and pay interest on the time it was gone, and the trustee should be removed and a new trustee appointed. You may call for a free consultation.
