my father passed away and left about 15000 in credit card debt. his estate passed into a trust. who if anyone is responsible for the debt

The estate including a trust is responsible for payment of his debts, including credit cards, medical and burial expenses. The beneficiaries inherit according to the trust the remainder of the assets after debts are paid. Beneficiaries are not responsible if the debt is greater than the assets, unless they are guarantors or signatories on the debt account.
