Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Utah
my husband father passed away in 2002. his sister was the exceutor in probate and closed the estate in 2002 leaving a hours that was to be split by 4 kids and a piece of land that was to be split by 3 kids. my husband uncle is also a co-owner in the land. my husband and sister have both retained lawyers to get this settled. but in the mean time his uncle has decidedto put the land up for sale while the estate is in legal battle? is this legal? can we maybe freeze the estates assets until this goes to court? or something?

You might be able to freeze the asset while court proceedings go on. Or the proceeds from the sale could be ordered to be held by the court until everyone's interests are resolved.
