Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Utah

Can an insurance policy be contested?

I'm a girlfriend named as 50% beneficiary in a life insurance plan, with the other 50% going to a trust for his 2 children. Can the ex-wife contest this? He does not want her to get anything, and has named his brother as the executor of the will.

Re: Can an insurance policy be contested?

Not unless there is a clause in the divorce decree that requires a different result. Otherwise the ex has no control over who is beneficiary.
