Nusing Home cost with Trust

My in-laws have a trust setup for 15 yrs now. If they where to be placed in a nursing home, could the state attach the trust for payment of costs or would the trust protect there assests.(i.e House and Property)

They have monies available now but with nursing home costs, it would not be long untill there monies were gone.

Yes, the state can get their assets, unless they have a properly prepared irrevocable trust. Make usre a competent lawyer prepares the documents.
