poverty status

due to illness i will need the aid of state and county. havw very little in savings. will need to dispose of to qualify. can i gift this amount to my daughter.

Any transfer of property that is not for value can be set aside, or disqualify you for benefits for a period of time equal to the amount of time the value of the transfer could have paid for your care. You can, however, spend the money on anything you would like to.
