there not even her relatives and there taking everything

my mother recently passed away she had a drug problem and she quit claimed her home to her boyfriends parents less than 2 years ago I am her only child and now they are boxing up all her belongings I had to fight with them to even go into her home and they had already cleared out most of her belongings what can I do to stop them from taking any more of her things should I file papers to be executor of her estate I have no idea what bills she has if I take it to probate and cant get her home back and the collectors take all of her belongings is it even worth it

You can open probate and get named the personal representative (executor). You and your brothers/sisters, if any, are entitled to all of her personal property, which is everything except the house. The boyfriend parents may be entitled to the house, but nothing more.
