Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Utah

A trust was written and signed in Utah, but the Trustee lives in Georgai. The laws of which state control the settlement of this Trust? Especially important is the Release/Indemnitdy form since the Heirs live in several different states. This Release form must be legally binding in all states and fully protect the Trustee. Thank you for your help. S

What does the trust document say? Usually, the trust will say which state's laws control. If not, it is usually the state where the trust is signed, and the Trustor lived, and not the state where the Trustee lives, that will control. Unless the trust says otherwise, Utah will control, and any release that is binding in Utah will be binding elsewhere because of the comity between states.
