Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Utah
I'm a widow & my husband & I were separated at the time of his death. I 'm assuming that his mother arranged for the administrator of his estate. He had no will but did have benefits from being in the Ironworkers Union. I have been contacted by the administrator & have copies that state that I have been awarded his estate minus expenses, but when I try to contact them to find out what is going on I get no response from them. My question is am I within the law to be contacting the administrator with my question concerning the estate? Or do I need to hire my own attorney to help me get the answers that I have. Please someone help me I am very much confused & this has been going on since 2003.Thank You Natalie Archuleta P.S. I reside in a different state than where the estate is being handled.

You may be entitled to substantial benefits from your husband's estate. You should have an attorney to represent you. It is clear that they will not treat you fairly.
