Legal Question in Workers Comp in Utah

Workerers Comp vs. Short term disability

Hubby works in ship/receive dept prt time, very physical job been there over a year. 6 mo into job unloading 35lb bx, just p/u and palette broke under foot. Tweaked knee-felt something ''pop'', sharp stab pain then burning warm sensation. Ignored, finished shift (he has to prove he can outwork all those younger than him-he's 43) knee swelled continued to swell thru night until size of his thigh--almost. Couldn't work, called in sick finally did work comp claim. Work med basically gave drugs when MRI results came back discovered he had advcd osteo rheumtd arthritis, thought his joint stiffness due to not used to labor job managed ok w/OTC meds.

****Wrk Med MD said his arthritis not caused by work, released to 1 wk light duty then full duty. EXCUSE ME shouldn't he of still treated the injury??? Phsyical therapy, anti-inflaminatorys, brace, etc.?? Work Comp closed in the final med report had a pos mcmurray test (indicate tear, bruise or some other injury). He thought he knew what pain was--now he really knows as he literally writhes in pain after work, limps, leg turning out & not the man I married (mean, hateful, short, sleeps all the time). Tried to re open work comp--denied. What's wrong w/this pic Can we do anything?
