Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Vermont
Chapter 7 Bankruptcy
Is a revolving credit account for dental work considered secured or unsecured debt? What if the company that made the loan claims it's a secured debt after receiving notice of a Chapter 7 filing?

I would THINK it would be unsecured, unless you have braces that could be removed but then they would need to show a written agreement that demonstrates their right to remove your braces if you do not pay. It seems pretty difficult to prove a security interest in dental work.
