Law firm declares Bankruptcy
The law firm handling my debt consolidation has declared bankruptcy. How will this effect me? Do I need to file a proof of claim?

Ouch! What a VERY delicate question!!!! You need to contact a bankruptcy attorney IMMEDIATELY. This is not a situation in which you can safely represent yourself. There are serious issues involved here and there is no adequate answer that can be given in this forum. Call a BANKRUPTCY attorney immediately - by that I mean an attorney that has a lot of experience in bankruptcy; a regular general practitioner won't do. Good luck!!
