Re: Franchise Printing

Hate to sound like a typical lawyer, but it depends. The nature of the franchise agreement (contract) will determine the degree of autonomy of any franchisee. I take it you are working with a single owner, and the responsibility of following the agreement would be the restuarants. Usually, there must be consistency in public printed documentation that conforms to the standards (often quite strict) set up by the Franchise Grantors. (licensors). Before doing any major work, make sure you get $$$ in advance to cover your costs and to make sure, I would draft a simple "hold-harmless" clause in your printing agreement that protects you from any legal actions if the franchsee violates the agreement with the National Owner. Any good licensing attorney could provide you with a sample agreement.

Good luck.
