Legal Question in Constitutional Law in Vermont
Mens Club
I am a Charter member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aux. My ex-boyfriend is a member of the Eagles. I had him served with a Relief from Abuse Order and now the Trustees of this club are telling me while this order is in effect I have lost all club privileges. I am the Plaintiff, he is the Defendant.

Re: Mens Club
This response is not to be regarded as legal advice.Rights of free association are usually up to the membership of the association See Hurley v. Gay, Lesbian and Bisexual Assoc of Boston. There is a pending case, Dale v. Boy Scouts that will be decided this summer but I have no idea how the Supreme Court will rule. The general rule is that a private association has bylaws that set out those rights of association. Check those check with a Vermont attorney. What the bylaws say is generally your answer. My guess is that you could find contractual rights which a court might enforce but the Constitution may override unless the club has been declared a place of public accomodation
