I live in Massachusetts.I purchased a used vehicle from a private party in Vermont. The vehicle broke-down a few miles down the road. This happened last month. I did/do not know my rights.

Re: used vehicle
If the vehicle was advertised for sale in Massachusetts you may have a right to a refund if the cost to correct any safety inspection items exceeds more than ten (10) percent of the purchase price. In any event on a purchase from a private party there is normally a thirty day warranty. Obviously if there was a written contract that would control. Good Luck!
