borderline tree
I have a friend that cut down a borderline tree, because he was afraid it could fall on his house. he did not ask the nieghbor, because he has asked him before to cut tress and he did not mind. Now the nieghbor is mad. can he be introuble for this?

Since the tree is already down, both parties have nothing to gain by continuing the fight.
This would be a good case for an independent written legal opinion which both sides would agree to be binding.
Go to mediation and get everything out on the table,--including what the person who cut down the tree is prepared to do in teh event he had no legal right to cut down the tree.
