Legal Question in Family Law in Vermont

I am 8 months pregnant and my divorce finalizing date is coming up

I am currently 8 months pregnant with my husband's child. He is an abusive alcoholic and I don't want him to have any contact with my baby. He said he is going to take it away from me. I filed for divorce end of Aug 2007. I have since moved back to CT with my parents but am continuing the divorce in VT, can it be finalized and a custody case later in CT after baby arrives? Do I need to put his name on the birth certificate? Also, people have told me VT court can make me move back to VT where I have no family and support so that he may have visitation... What are some rules that surround my situation, I'm starting to get worried. Thanks
