If you are a resident of Virginia, it is as simple as pie to change your name.

As long as it is not for any fraudulent purpose, i.e., to mislead creditors, etc., and if you are not a convicted felon or probationer of any court.

It requires only the filing of a petition, accompanied by your birth certificate and a proposed order to change your name. And, best of all, you can change it to anything you want, Moonbeam McSwine, if that suits you.

Because of the simplicity of the proceeding attorney fees and costs should be really low. I, for example, charge $100 + the court's filing fee of $29.

How's that for an easy solution?
