Legal Question in Insurance Law in Vermont
Suing a Canadian in US court
A Canadian moors his boat at a Vermont marina and it comes untied and crashes into my boat tied in a slip and causes over $10,000 worth of damage. His insurance company will not talk to me and he tells me to put a claim into my own insurance company which will likely get me canceled. Can I sue him in a US court?

Yes. See a lawyer as the marina operator may also be involved. And you should tell your insurer - this is similar to auto accident.
