Legal Question in Business Law in Virgin Islands

Good Morning:

Our office is primarily property management. One of the owners with a Real Estate company thinks we shouldn't date stamp/received stamp on the front ANY documents that we receive including correspondence because it could be interpreted as nullifying or amending a document. The other owner thinks we should continue to date stamp as we always have, that there is no risk of nullifying a document. What would your sage legal experts suggest?

An attorney will say it depends on the document. If just normal correspondence, that's fine to date stamp. If it's an original legal document, I suggest making a copy, then date stamp the copy. Consult with a good business attorney in your area for specific advice.
