Legal Question in Disability Law in Virginia

Bank of America just refused to cash a two-party check for me. I have an account there. They told me the check was someone else's property (it was - my son's - until he signed the back and gave it to me) and that it was illegal to cash it! Could this be true?

It may be that your son failed to properly endorse the back of the check over to

you by including the words PAY TO and your name under his signature, thereby

making you the payee on the check and entitled to cash it.
