Legal Question in Disability Law in Virginia

medical question asked; is it legal to ask?

I am a high school teacher and was asked by my superintendent (during a recent meeting regarding my health needs) when I had to last have a shot of insulin

( I am diabetic). I was taken aback and told him I was not sure but would ask my dr. about this. I did not think it was legal for him to ask me a question like this; please advise.

The question would seem not inappropriate for a supervisor to ask of an employee in a meeting regarding the employee's health needs.
