Court of Appeals; statement of questions

I am representing myself in court of appeals case for custody of my daughter. I can't find any guidelines/examples on how to right up ''statement of questions''. Can someone help?

Go to one of the local law school libraries and see

whether one of the librarians there can point you in the dirction of some of these materials known as Virginia appellate briefs.
