expunging my record

i have a misdemeanor assault and battery conviction on my record and i would like to know the steps i need to take in order to have the conviction expunged from my record. Any help would be appreciated.

You may wish to review Va. Code Sec. 19.2-392.2(F)

which describes how the records of misdemeanor convictions may be expunged in the Commonwealth.
