Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Virginia
Judge cutting time short
While representing myself pro se, the judge informed me during a cross examination that she could only be there for another 15 minutes, so if I wanted to present my side of the case I should start to wrap things up. This caused me to limit the time I spent cross examining witnesses, giving my side of the story, rebuttal and closing argument.
Would this be grounds for an appeal or a new trial?

Re: Judge cutting time short
If the matter was heard in a Virginia Juvenile & Domestic Relations District Court, you don't need a specific reason to appeal. You have 10 days from the date of the lower court decision to note your appeal to have a trial de novo in the circuit court.
