Traffic Ticket with a wrong time
i was issued a traffic ticket with wrong time by the officer. can i contest the ticket? I was late for work and drove ''25 miles over speed limit'' actually i confessed that i was moving but i was not at that same pace thruout. there were taxi cabs in my way and there were some people tailgating me and i wanted to clear of that messy area so i went up to 80 miles and then slowed down.
Also cop came behind and am 100% positive that he caught me on the base of relative speed limit with his vehicle? can he do that. please advise.
should i say not guilty or guilty or with explanation. this incident happened in virginia.

Re: Traffic Ticket with a wrong time
If you've been charged with reckless driving by exceeding 80mph on a public highway, which is a jailable offense in the Commonwealth, you should have an attorney representing you in this matter.
Otherwise, if you've been charged with merely a speeding infraction, you should be able to handle it on your own without an attorney. Come early to court and ask to speak to the prosecutor assigned to your case and explain any mitigating circumstances which might be applicable. (No, the wrong time on the ticket is not one of these and not a basis to contest the ticket.)Then offer to plead guilty to a reduced speeding charge.
Regarding your reference to: "he(the cop) caught me on the base of relative speed limit with his vehicle", I haven't the foggiest idea of what you're talking about.
