can you take bankruptcy on a lawsuit?

You can't "take bankruptcy on" a lawsuit, but you can file bankruptcy and stop most kinds of lawsuits and discharge any underlying obligation to the plaintiff. You must, however, include all assets and all liabilities. See an experienced bankruptcy lawyer for details.
