After receiving a Chapter 7 discharge, you cannot get a discharge in another Chap. 7 or Chap. 11 for 8 years, filing date to filing date. You can get a discharge in a Chap. 12 (assuming eligibility) with no waiting period between cases. A chapter 13 discharge is available in a case filed at least 4 years after the Chapter 7.
