my car was repoed can i file bankruptcy on that without interfering with the cosigner on the loan?

If you file for bankruptcy, you might be able to get the car back. If you file bankruptcy, it will affect the cosignor, because your stopping payment will constitute a default, and the lender will pursue the cosignor. However, the bankruptcy itself will have No impact on the cosignor. See my site for more info.
