Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Virginia

eligible creditors to file in bankruptcy

I am filing Chp.7 bankruptcy (just me, not my husband). I am in the process of listing my creditors. The vehicle that I drive (2000 Lexus) is not in my name, neither the title or the loan. Both are in my husband's name, but I make the payment. Can I add this loan as a debt on my bankruptcy. The car that my husband drives is in my name, both the title and the loan. I also help with this payment. Can I add this loan as a debt? Or should I just add the loan that would show up on my credit report, which would be the loan for the car that my hubby drives?

Thanks.

Re: eligible creditors to file in bankruptcy

You only list the debts on which you are liable. Note that you still have to make the car payments if you want to keep the car. Your bankruptcy lawyer can advise you (don't even think of filing without a lawyer).
