Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Virginia
Employers rights
If we file bankruptcy and my husband is a federal employee can his employer take any kind of action against him for this act? Is there any reason they would be notified of the bankruptcy?

Re: Employers rights
It is a violation of federal law for an employer to take any action against a debtor employee solely because he has filed a bankruptcy petition.
The employer would not necessarily be notified, unless there is a debt owed to the employer.
