Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Virginia
My father in Law filed Bankruptcy in VA, USA in 2008. Court discharged him Under Bankruptcy law chapter 7. My father in law has property in India.( Land and house) when filing bankruptcy do we need to include Indian property also in the property list
If we didn't include the Indian property. What action will court take if they know.
Please let me know.

The property is still property of the bankruptcy estate, and if the trustee or court finds out, the case will be reopened to administer the property. It will likely be sold to satisfy creditor claims.
Knowingly failing to list the property is a crime. What your father in law should do is discuss this with a lawyer and do not disclose any more information about it on a public forum.
