Ex- husband filed chater 13

My ex and his new wife have just filed Chater 13, he still owes, per divorse decree and a court order, me over $23,000.He also didn't get my name off a few joint credit cards. Will he get out paying this money? The money was his share of joint debt.

If it is alimony or support, it is not dischargeable. Otherwise, if he confirms and completes his plan, he will be able to discharge the unpaid portion, but he will almost certainly have to pay something on the claim. You should have an experienced bankruptcy lawyer represent you to review and if appropriate object to the plan.
