Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Virginia

on June 30th I filed for bankruptcy chapter seven, Today even after being notified of bankruptcy petion, A attorney though she is repersenting herself. I broke a lease on the last month. has processed another garnishment thatshe just filed on July 28th, Against a company I no longer work for. This person has harrassed me from day one, even to the point of charging me 600.00 per month intrest. The company I used to work for just called me very upset, and told me I need this to stop. But how? I filed without a attorney.

The garnishment violates the automatic stay, and you are entitled to damages for the violation. If you don't have a lawyer, now might be a good time to get one.
