Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Virginia
A married couple jointly own a property. Obtained a 2nd mortgage. Said couple got divorced. Wife could not afford the home and filed chapter 13 to stop forclosure. Husband still listed as joint owner and creditors came after him. Husband is now filing bankruptcy.
My question(s): How can I purchase this property?

Contact the lender and make them/it an offer. (However, until all of the pending bankruptcy actions have been disposed of, the lender would not likely be in any legal position to respond to your offer.)
