Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Virginia

Now or later

I am obviosly going to have to file for bankrupcy very soon. I'v lost my job and am living on credit cards and cash advances, I have a house with 40,000 equity in it and a car with zero equity. Right now my credit is fine but I can't keep up with this. I've had to make 10000 in repairs in the house and its all on credit. I'm basically using cards every day. my debt is around 50000. Please help me figure out how to keep a place to live and car to drive. Thanks
