A and B entered into a contract for the purchase and sale of goods. A subsequently promised to pay a higher price for the goods when B refused to deliver at the contract price

So, A has agreed to excuse B's material violation of the original contract and apparently waive his rights to enforce it, and now has made a new offer which B has yet to accept?
