Breach of contract
If there is a contract between two
people and person B agrees to pay
person A a certain amount of money,
is the contract satisfied if person C
pays person A and person B pays
nothing?

Yes, if person C pays and person A accepts this payment as a fullfillment of the obligation owed under the contract by person B.
