Legal Question in Business Law in Virginia
Breakup of LLC partnership
We had a partnership agreement between myself and a friend for an electric company. We no longer work together, I have decided to keep the company going under the same name and my friend has no problems with me taking over all of the company. Is there a form disolving the partnership and putting the company in my name only. I realize my expartner will have to sign the form and there is no problem with that.

Re: Breakup of LLC partnership
Your partnership should be dissolved in accordance with the rules governing its creation and operation, i.e, your partnership agreement. (If you cannot find an appropriate form for such a dissolution, you'll probably need to retain an attorney to write one up for you that fits the particular facts of your particular partnership situation.)
