Re: bussiness contract

Depends on what your contract says. You may be able to get out of it but it would depend on many factors. Take the contract to an attorney and sit down and speak with him or her about it.

Re: bussiness contract

The restriction on future employment (covenant not to compete) is part of many employment agreements. However, whether one may avoid the restriction is completely dependant upon the terms therein. A restrictive covenant not to compete must be limited in time and place and reasonably necessary in light of the employers business. An overbroad covenant would be avoidable. However, in light of the many factors that go into the interpretation, I would strongly advise that you consult an attorney.
