Legal Question in Business Law in Virginia
collections
I did a job for a building company, now they seem to no want to pay or correspond. I put out around $800.00 dollars in expenses. The problem is they gave me a site plan after I had bid this job. I thought I had finished the job, but after inspection the outcome was to finish digging out a ditch to the site plan. I told them I thought the plan was a canopy requirement for the house and I have no idea how to read the site plan and asked for help. They will not accept any reasonable solution and apparently will not pay for anything. What avenue can I take and how can I at least get back what I put into the job? Can I take back the plants I put in if they don't pay?

Re: collections
Small Claims Court would appear to be your remedy for this situation.
