Legal Question in Business Law in Virginia

Contract question for small business venture

I am a small business owner, who will be incorporating (most likely) as an LLC in Virginia as soon as possible. I work for myself, however, I am one of 4 partners in a nationwide recruiting company. We share the same company name and have a loose joint venture among ourselves, however since all 4 partners live in different states, we all incorporate ourselves differently, depending on our unique situations and locations. All 4 partners share the same contracts with clients though we each do our own individual work and earn our own keep.

When signing a recruitment agreement with a potential client, how do I sign for the company without including my personal name as I am trying to protect personal assets in the event there is a future conflict/lawsuit. Do I sign--name removed-- for XXX recruiting or perhaps,

XXX recruiting of Virginia, LLC (my own business entity and eliminate my name altogether)?

Or, XXX recruiting by--name removed--, partner?

Again, all partners may utilize the client at one time so, once there is an agreement on file, it applies company-wide. However, we are each doing our own individual business with each client.

Thanks for your help.

Re: Contract question for small business venture

For your protection, you really should discuss the entire arrangement with an attorney. An LLC often executes contracts as "ABC, LLC, by John Doe, Manager".
